Graham

Graham Curtis - Drums, Backing Vocals

Joined the Band

1989

Key Facts

Graham joined the band at its inception in 1989. Formed by legendary local music hero Mike Davis, the band was very different in those days. Delving Deep into Mikes love of Deep South Boogie and Status Quo, three Chords played loud was our motto. Blues became more of an influence with the introduction of the local Blues King John Wines on lead guitar and over the years with many line ups, the band has evolved dramatically into the party animal it is today. Before JAK THE LAD Graham was a member of two local own material bands " The Magnetics" and " The Escape Committee" the former cutting two tracks onto a compilation album " Shots in the Dark"..highly sought after by post punk vinyl junkies. Graham's main role in the band is to keep the thing together and stop Mossy trying to get us to do some Sinatra.

Key Facts

Mossy is JAK THE LAD's lead singer and joined the band in the summer of 2003 and played his first public gig at Mr. Kyps in Parkstone, Poole in December that year. JAK THE LAD is Mossy's first band, however, he has a long and chequered musical history having been thrown out of St. Mary's Church Choir in Bodmin, Cornwall at the age of 10 years old for punching another chorister in the nose for taking the mickey out of him for having to sing soprano on 'Away In A Manger' during the Christmas carol concert. Mossy is a veteran of more than 250 JAK THE LAD gigs and is also responsible for gig bookings and kicking the arses of his feckless band-mates.
